how long will a car battery last turned off if im just using a portable tv that is 9v dc? I take my wife to some gym classes they only last one hour, but im forced to wait for her since i dont want to go back home. When the car is turned off i usually turn on my portable tv using the power source in the car. Am I causing my battery harm doing this. How do you keep a toddler and a 4yr old happy on a road trip? We are traveling to south Florida this weekend and it will take up about 11 hours on the road. what causes home radio static, both plug-in and portable battery operated, afternoons and evening only? EVERY afternoon and evening on every radio in the house on every AM station (not FM) static begins that renders it unlistenable. Not the TV, not the car radio. It does not occur in the morning, or until about 4:00 PM. No neighbors have this problem. It disappears on the portable radio when carried away from the house.

i am married but feel so lonely!!? Have been married three years but feel so lonely. Hubby just watches tv 24/7. If i suggest that we dont talk he just goes in a huff. TV is on first thing all day every day. As soon as he comes home from work, i give him his tea and he sits glued to the tv. All is see all night is his ear! Yesterday at work (i am community mental health nurse) i was very scared as patient was shouting and his raised his fist to me. Even sex is rotten now as it only when it suits him, late at night when tv has finished. How do I keep my 8 year old occupied during a 13 hour car ride? He's possibly Autistic, but nothing diagnosed. He's a bit slow in educational issues, but very advanced in emotional and social situations. I'm trying to find ways to keep him busy in the car from Denver to Phoenix. Flying isn't option due to money. Now here's the real issue: He never stops talking! He even talks non-stop during his sleep. He will probably drive me crazy, and I don't think I can handle the 13 hour trip without a lot of good ideas. One thing he is mesmerized by is TV, so I'll bring along a portable DVD player. Recommendations for a portable power source? I saw a TV ad for these not too long ago bu silly me I forgot to write down what they are called so now that I need one I can't for the life of me find one. :P Anyway, it's basically a large rechargeable battery that can be charged either at home or via a car and is often used for camping. Our dog barks at items that werent there before.? We have a 4 month old yorkie and she constantly barks at anything that was not there before . Eg: I put a spare wheel off my car in the garden and because it has never been there before , she kept barking at it until I put it in the shed. the same with a portable tv I placed on the floor out of the way, she would not stop barking at it and kept going up to it and nudging it with her nose and snapping and barking at it . I keep TONS of music, a few Excel files, some MS Word documents, & a whole lot of pictures as well. QUESTION: - Can an Apple I-pod do all this too??? Can I download music off of my computer, & my cd's too? How about data, or picture files? WHY (pray tell) would I buy an 80 gb Apple I-pod for $339 dollars at Costco, when I can buy a 300 gb USB/firewire portable hard dive for $149???
