Battery Operated Televisions

Is my custom made Laptop good?

To start, I have bought this laptop at the Black Friday sale. The website I bought it from was www.hp.com. It was only 580$ (tax included). It will arrive as soon as 2 weeks. All I want to know is these following question: Is the Graphics Card good? Is the Processor and the speed of the Processor good? Is the RAM good? Is the Hard Drive good? Should i have gotten a 320GB instead of the 250GB? Is the screen good? Is my operating system good? My battery life good? Does is play Television? I will only use this Laptop for basic needs. These are the components of my Laptop that I bought. Please, I need professionals to answer this question... 1. That is pretty good for a notebook. the processor could be faster but that is a good enough speed for anything.
  2. I will answer in bullet form: Vista itself isn't a great Operating system, if possible, get a XP downgrade The processor is good, not great for gaming though 15.4" is not bad, could be too big for you to carry around though, I recommend you to go to a store to see how big it is first to make sure you want something this big Also the screen could of easily been 1440x900 4 GB of ram is great The graphics card isn't that great... if your planning to do some gaming or use the graphics alot, I would recommend a upgrade 7200 RPM is much better then 5400 RPM but you don't really need 320 GB of HD space 6 Cell battery will last you for about 1.5-2.5 hours of battery life with your specs, if you want it to last longer, invest in a 9 cell battery. All in all if you do not game much on the computer its perfect for you :D
  3. This question in no way requires a "professional." Usually you want to find this stuff out BEFORE you buy something, not after. For day to day use, it's perfectly fine. Don't expect to be playing recent 3D computer games on it with anything resembling good performance, though. It didn't come with a TV tuner, so it won't act as a television. For web browsing and similar activities you'll probably get 3-5 hours of battery life, which is standard for that size of laptop.
  4. I just love that computer but if anything i would get a different processor because the pentium brand is not the high class like when they made the pentium 1 2 3 4 d and m no, now they are just a budget brand. i think it is just a great computer. Remember a computer is only as obsolete as what you do with it. Like you could a pentium 1 processor running at 50 MHz with 69 megs of ram but if you only surf the internet and check email it is perfect for people that do that.
