Battery Operated Televisions

I put a broken portable TV in the bin. How long will it take to completely rot away in a landfill?

1. I'd guess about a thousand years or so depending on the conditions inside the landfill;moisture content,temperature etc.
2. it will never completely rot away, glass, metal and plastic is there forever and a day, that's why these items should always go to the recycling plant.
