Recommendations for a portable power source?
I saw a TV ad for these not too long ago bu silly me I forgot to write down what they are called so now that I need one I can't for the life of me find one. :P Anyway, it's basically a large rechargeable battery that can be charged either at home or via a car and is often used for camping. As a crafter who does a lot of shows I sometimes end up in places where I don't have access to an outlet and need something that can quietly power my mp3 player, a pair of decent sized portable speakers, and two or three floor lamps for about 5 hours. What they are called, as well as brand and size recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

- Honda 2000ie portable generators will meet all your needs they are about $1200. and the quietest on the market
- I would recommend you go all12 volt and use a boating or RV deep cycle battery. Charge it up with a 110 battery charger and take the battery with you. Heavy so use a hand cart. LED 12 volt lights will last all day. Use cigarette lighter sockets with a multiply outlets added to the battery. Try BoatUS.com for info about batteries and 12.
- Epower systems offered by Eureka. Or a deep cycle battery with an 800watt(peak to peak)roughly 550 watt(rms) modified sine wave inverter.
- Duracell makes portable power packs that are rechargable, and do 12 or 120 volt. Try this site .. www.duracellpower.com/portablepower
