Can a Toddler use a portable dvd player?
I am taking my daughter on a five hour car journey on my own and I am looking at getting an in car DVD player to keep her entertained (I am not the sort of mother to put her infront of the TV 24/7 but need something to keep her entertained in the car). Can a 2 1/2 year old use one and can they use headphones? I just wonder if it can damage their hearing.

- Hi my niece is 2 1/2 and she uses Tv/video combo but that's in the house and when she is listening to music with my mam she uses headphones and she is perfectly fine just don't put it on toooooo loud lol .
- under parental supervision she could use it but please be careful and watch her fingers when she puts the dvd in
- my son could operate it on his own by 2 years old. If you control the volume there is no reason why it would hurt her ears.
- Oh yeah as long as she understands that she has to be careful with it! as long as you keep it at a low to medium sound level there should be no problem with their hearing! I am planning on getting our 3 year old one for a 12 hour(one way) car journey!
