Battery Operated Televisions

I have a Winegard portable satellite dish. If I use a splitter, am I able to hook up two Directv Boxes to it?

This would allow me to watch different things on two tvs at my tailgate.

1. No, it would not. The splitter would weaken the signal from the dish to the point that you would get little to no reception on the receivers. You should use a multiswitch instead. Another option would be to connect one receiver and use the splitter to connect it to two TVs. You'd have to watch the same channel on both tvs though.
