Battery Operated Televisions

I have a portable TV that I would like to watch on the road in the U.S. !?

Do I really need a Satellite dish or cable ? If not, what do I need? Digital antenna won't work! Thanks!

  1. You need an antenna and probably a digital converter box since I am sure the TV is old enough that it just has an analog tuner.
  2. Yep..you will need a good digital antenna preferably with an amplifier, and a converter box, however, you will have to re-scan the converter box in each different location to get all area available channels..
  3. You cannot get cable on the road, except maybe at some campsites or hotels/motels (the latter which have their own TVs) You can get an antenna and converter box to get broadcast channels. For satellite, you need an auto tracking dish, or to set it up wherever you stay. In whatever case, you cannot watch TV when you are driving.
