where can i take a portable tv and it still works?

This summer I hope to be going to england for over a month. If I bought a portable tv could I watch american or British tv in england or scotland?

1. If you buy it in England, yes. If you buy it in the US, it will not work in England. Watching TV in England also requires a TV license, although visitors may be excused.
