Battery Operated Televisions

how long will a car battery last turned off if im just using a portable tv that is 9v dc?

I take my wife to some gym classes they only last one hour, but im forced to wait for her since i dont want to go back home. When the car is turned off i usually turn on my portable tv using the power source in the car. Am I causing my battery harm doing this. I have a 2005 civic and the battery is just over a year old. thanks

1. Duh .....Yes......And you need to watch T.V. why???? Get out of the car and do some walking or exercise....I would suggest that you get a portable battery booster and keep it in your car, in case you can't start the car. OR Just start the vehicle every 15 minutes.... Good Grief.... a "Couch Potato" in a car....How lazy are you??? :-)))
2. I'd say about 6 hours at least. For an hour or two, no sweat.
