does a portable DVD player hook up to a TV?
This may be a dumb question, but I don't know the answer. We want to get a portable DVD player to use in the car and the camper, but the screens are small. Can you plug the cables into a TV with the same plugs, to see the picture on a bigger screen? Or will you just be able to see the pic on the DVD player screen?

- Most have an A/V connection, usually with a proprietary cable; which allows you to connect the player to A/V in on a TV, or use the display on the player as a monitor for a game console or the like.
- Of course! Most portable dvd players have included cables that enable for you to hook it up directly to tv, receiver, vcr, etc. These cables usually look like a connection similar to headphones plugging to the portable unit, and the other end either has composite connection (red, white, yellow), and higher quality connection (svideo). Do your research before buying a portable dvd player. You can pickup these cables in Walmart or online if the unit does not come with this cable (in most cases they do) God luck
